PACS Presents Premiere Screening of “Spiritual Healing Traditions”

This is a special fundraiser for Pacific Asian Counseling Services (PACS).  “Spiritual Healing Practices” is a moving documentary on the use of non-traditional healing practices in the treatment of mental illness with Cambodians in Long Beach.

Through the volunteer efforts of two filmmakers, Charlene Emory and Stephanie Kloeber, the innovative work of PACS staff to develop a culturally sensitive set of treatment modalities for clinical practice has been wonderfully captured.  The documentary shows the thoughtfulness and knowledge of the PACS staff to evolve the Integrated Network for Cambodians (INC) Program.

PACS mission is to enrich the lives of children and families through counseling and caring.  We provide culturally sensitive and language specific services with expertise in the immigrant Asian Pacific Islander populations.  Founded in 1981 and incorporated in 1997, PACS is one of a small handful of agencies that can provide mental health services to the diverse API communities in LA County.  As a sponsor, your generous donation will enable PACS to continue its much needed services.  Plus, you will have visibility opportunity and share your commitment to the rapidly growing API community.
