For the holidays, please consider making a donation to Pacific Asian Counseling Services (PACS).  Our nonprofit is dedicated to healing people through counseling and caring. Below is a situation in which PACS was able to help a family affected by mental health.

Mr. L had a six year history of hearing voices, paranoia, and aggressive behavior towards his elderly father. He was diagnosed as schizophrenic. PACS got him placed in a board and care facility and enrolled him for benefits to receive counseling and psychiatric consultations.  His family felt that PACS saved his life.

People can recover from mental illness.  They can lead useful lives.  Their families can be reunited.

More than ever, mental health services are needed to address the trauma in people’s lives.  Our services help keep our clients out of jail and avoid homelessness.  Donations allow PACS to meet the needs of clients in linguistically appropriate and culturally sensitive ways.

With Gratitude,

The Board and Staff at PACS

East West Players Presents Next to Normal

“Next to Normal is a work of muscular grace and power. It is much more than a feel-good musical; it is a feel-everything musical.” – The New York Times

“The best musical of the season — by a mile. It’ll pin you to your seat.” – Rolling Stone

One of the most powerful stage experiences in recent years, Next to Normal is about the seemingly picture perfect Goodman family. However, Diana, the mother, is a little too happy. Her husband Dan constantly worries. Her daughter Natalie is awfully intent on getting that scholarship to Yale. And her son Gabe, well…This Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize- winning rock musical is a heartbreaking, humorous, and unflinchingly honest look at a suburban family struggling with the effects of bipolar disorder.
